Summary:
The Director of Annual Giving is responsible for implementation and execution of programs that meet or exceed annual donor giving participation and dollar goals as set by the Campbell University administration. Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President of Alumni Engagement, the Director of Annual Giving:
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Plans, directs, coordinates, and implements an aggressive annual giving program that includes but is not limited to direct mail, phonathon, on-line strategies and personal visits to solicit gifts that align with the priorities set forth by university administration. Solicit gifts from alumni, parents and friends of the university whose annual gift potential is $5,000 or less. Identify, cultivate and solicit annual donors and prospects through personal solicitation. Personally manage a prospect portfolio of 20 to 30 individuals. Collaborate with the alumni office to develop an understanding of philanthropy amongst the alumni body. Develop strategy and execute the annual Campbell Giving Day and Employee Giving Campaign. Utilize donor data to execute targeted donor solicitations in support of the goals of the university's fundraising strategy as it relates to annual giving. Support activity designed to reach the overall goals of the Office of Advancement. Represent the university at various internal and external advancement related events. Other duties as assigned. 00 p.m. M-F plus some evenings and weekend work Education, Skills/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of three years fundraising, volunteer management or experience (in an educational or related setting preferred). Strong interpersonal skills essential for interaction with students, alumni, parents and donors of all ages. Ability to communicate well, both verbally and written. Computer experience in use of word-processing programs, database management and spreadsheets. Graphic design capability a plus. Organizational and multi-tasking skills imperative.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Education AdministrationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
