Summary:
The Director of Student Services oversees and coordinates events, programming, communication, and services that support students. The Director will take the lead in building a strong sense of community, helping students to secure academic tutoring and mental health counseling, organizing extra-curricular opportunities for both current students and alumni, interpreting and upholding community and university standards and expectations, helping students to connect with churches, denominations, and other key constituencies for networking and placement opportunities, and working with the Divinity School staff to promote the success of the Divinity School its students. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for students seeking help with sensitive matters (e.g., Title IX concerns, assistance with accommodations, etc.). Oversee the work of the Divinity School SALT (Student Activities Leadership Team). Take the lead in updating the Student Handbook and communicating, interpreting, and ensuring student understanding of and compliance with university and community expectations. Work with faculty and staff to plan, and take the lead in coordinate the logistics for, special events including Commissioning Services, Graduation, and annual lectures. Oversee the planning and implementation of key events or other opportunities for students to connect with churches and denominational groups. Work with the Duncan Chair of Church Music and Worship and the Worship Planning Class to plan and coordinate weekly chapel services. Serve as part of the key leadership team for the Divinity School, working with the Dean and other directors to review strategy and set priorities. Additional

Experience:
Master of Divinity or other graduate theological degree required 5 years of experience in either a church or theological education staff position desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels. Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy, and discretion in dealing with key constituencies including churches, denominations, alumni, students, trustees, faculty, staff, students, high-level university officials, and the public. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are essential; competence with Publisher is desirable. Maintain strict confidentiality. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Exercise independent judgment in complex and new situations. Able to work independently as well as function effectively in a team. Function effectively in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. Manage and prioritize multiple, concurrent projects and meet strict deadlines. Function efficiently in a fast paced, ever changing environment. Minimum Qualification
Teaching, Education AdministrationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
